Jacob Bridgeman is an American professional golfer who went from a highly decorated college amateur to one of the PGA Tour’s breakout stars in 2026. Born in the small town of Inman, South Carolina, Bridgeman built his reputation through years of steady, disciplined play — first as a three-time South Carolina state champion in high school, then as a record-setting player at Clemson University, and finally as a Korn Ferry Tour graduate who earned his place on golf’s biggest stage.
The 2026 season turned Bridgeman from a promising young tour professional into a household name among golf fans. In February he captured his maiden PGA Tour title at the Genesis Invitational at Riviera, holding off Rory McIlroy by a single shot in a dramatic Sunday finish. That victory launched him to a career-best No. 17 in the Official World Golf Ranking a month later, earned him a spot on the United States team for the 2026 Presidents Cup at Medinah, and was followed by a second tour win at the Biltmore Championship in Asheville, North Carolina, during the FedEx Cup Fall Series in September.
